In Skype for Business, looking at the network path per call route

when looking at network hops from a skype for business call, how is the network path generated. Is it done by just doing a tracert, or is it done by actually how the call is made. Here is why I ask. in our network, when a call hits the WAN router, the default route is over the internet based iWAN, where as if the call has QoS it goes over the MPLS with QoS. So simply put does it follow tracert (default routing), or the actual path the call is one since the default path and a QoS Path is different.
No such things as problems, just complex answers.

Re: In Skype for Business, looking at the network path per call route

Hi Adam,

Network hop information is returned from a query to the QoEMetrics database, TraceRoute table of the Lync back end SQL server.  This table gets populated when you run the "New-CsClientPolicyEntry -Name "EnableTraceRouteReporting" -Value "TRUE"" command on the Front End servers.  Basically it looks like we are using trace route data.
