What should I check when my DISPMAN configuration refuses to start?

When I open the DISPMAN configuration and try starting it, the configuration doesn't start and it has a red cross on it's icon.

Re: What should I check when my DISPMAN configuration refuses to start?

When I open the DISPMAN configuration and try starting it, the configuration doesn't start and it has a red cross on it's icon.
The DISPMAN configuration needs the dispatch manager process (irdspsrv) to be running in order to load the configuration. Check this by running a display on the PrognosisStatus (PSTATUS) record. If it is not running check your PROGNOSIS configuration for existing entries which may be disabling this such as:

SET RUN (DISPMAN, NO)
or
SET RUN (IRDSPSRV, NO)

If you locate an entry as above, then change the NO parameter to YES. If you do not find it, add one of the above entries with a YES parameter into the Prognosis Configuration, and start it. You should now be able to start the DISPMAN configuration.
