Prognosis to ODBC doing select count(*) every 2-3 minutes

Hello,

We've configured Prognosis to output through ODBC into SQL Server for our Base24-eps data.

Recently our DBA pointed out that this query is performed every 2-3 minutes all day and it's a pretty high impact on the server.

Can you tell me why this query is running every 2-3 minutes and is there a way to supress it?

SELECT COUNT(*)

FROM IR_B24EPS

Hi Henry,

Its difficult to tell exactly what would be running that Select statement because if you are using a Prognosis DBC to send data to your SQL database then we would not be using a select statement. Unless you are also using MSSQL to monitor the databases, then i would suggest its the interval for one of the displays. Would be helpful to exactly how your system is configured.

Perhaps if your unsure id sugget to open a support ticket and provide screens shots and IRFAX.
