How to copy Blueprint Alert configuration from my test to production node

I have setup a test component for NSKCPU on my windows MN node in test.. How do I copy those component(s) from my test MN and deploy onto my Production NSK nodes?

Hi John, If it is a threshold you created in your test Prognosis client , then you can copy the .thr file to your Production Prognosis Client.
Its default saved to Prognosis\user interface\my displays & configurations\ or it is where you saved it.

To add to and clarify:

Web Blueprints (Configured in WebUI->Admin->Alerts->Web Blueprints) are managed at the Web Server / Managing Node. They are not actually deployed to your NonStop. For them to work you need to run the threshold (.thr) file from the Managing Node / Web Server. If you do not run the threshold on the managing node it won't fire. (HTML AND Rich Alerts need to also be enabled on the individual servers Alerts Configuration).

IMPORTANT: The Web Blueprint configuration will appear the same for all nodes you click on regardless of which server you actually pick and edit the BluePrint configuration on.. I.e. If you configure it on \NSK01 and then click on node \NSK02 the Blueprint will appear to already be configured. This can be a bit confusing.

The threshold should run there but be Monitoring the NonStop (configured in a tab of the Threshold).

If you build BluePrint Alert in a test system, you need to manually recreate it in the WebUI of Production OR you can also consider moving the file, which the WebBluePrints currently as of 11.1 are stored in IRModel.xml. Many user configurable files in the WebUI got a _user in 11.1 but not currently IRModel.xml.

Note: There are also two copies of IRMOdel.xml within the Prognosis directory; but it is only C:\Prognosis\WebUI\IIS\Dashboards\irmodel.xml you need to copy to the other managing node / web server.

Fantastic, thank you so much Chris. These are very useful tips.. Is there a way that I could use Blueprint while the threshold is running on the local Tandem/monitored node or it must run from MN on Windows? we run 100s of alerts on the local node itself and we have 10 tandem systems i.e. about 1000 tandem alerts in total perhaps more with AA rules and might not be possible that we move all the thresholds up to the Windows MN in addition to MN is very busy with 1000s of other nodes connected. .. Sorry I just saw your reply

Currently Blueprints only work when the following criteria are present:
1) The threshold is running on the Windows node; though the nodes to monitor can be any node type.
2) Rich Alerts AND HTML alerts are enabled in the windows node Alerts configuration, it does not need to be enabled on the monitoring nodes.
3) Rich Alert Blueprints are configured on the same Windows node as the threshold is running.
4) Windows server with WebUI installed (if just Windows server without WebUI I dont think they will), as the IRModel configuration is only accessible via the WebUI admin and is stored / run from there

Note: It is not obvious but no matter which server you enter the Blueprint configuration on when in the WebUI it is a single configuration that applies to all servers which that server is running thresholds... So you do not need to go to each server and configure it... you just need to configure it once.
