How to Restart of Syslog Collector in prognosis

Can anyone help how can we restart the Syslog Collector in the PROGNOSIS Configuration file.

And what are the steps have to taken to troubleshoot syslog graphs are populating in prognosis.

Venkatesh,

you are right on the money with set run to N and then to Y to cycle the collector:

SET RUN (IRSYSLOGCOL, N)

...

SET RUN (IRSYSLOGCOL, Y)

For messaging coming into prognosis, you'd like to know if prognosis is listening on the port specified in SYSLOG conf:

ADD UDP_LISTENER ( 514 )

Additionlay, you'd make sure that remote device is able to send syslog to prognosis.
