Common Prognosis commands on Unix platform

Below are some commonly used Prognosis commands on Unix.


psprog

Shows status of Prognosis processes.

startprog

Starts Prognosis.

stopprog

Stops Prognosis .

portprog

Shows and optionally changes the Prognosis port.

enableprogboot

Enables Prognosis to start automatically when the Unix machine boots.

enableproglogin

Enables Prognosis environment in user login file.

irfax

Produces a snapshot of the system suitable for sending to IR support staff.

All commands support a -h (help) option.


All 'enable' commands above support a -u (undo) option to reverse (disable) a previously given 'enable' command.

will enableprogboot  work on Redhat 7 and Redhat 8?

 

To enable Prognosis startup after server reboot

Hi @John_Armanious ,

 

I had access to RHEL 7.x test system and was able to do a quick sanity check and confirm it works as it should. I don't have easy access to a RHEL8.x system at the moment, so can't provide a quick answer for that version, but I'd expect the script to work as expected under that release as well.

Please let me know if this addresses your question or if you need me to confirm 8.x as well (just may take some time before I can get it set up to test).
