How to configure a threshold alert on single attribute from different source nodes

Dear Team,

How can I configure an alert by comparing 2 source node data?

For example, I want to compare "Total Response Time" for any FIID from 2 different Nodes.

I have Base24 active-active setup and I am expecting an alert if "Total Response Time" from one node is higher than another node with some margin.

Node Names: "\NI001" and "\NI002"

Attribute to compare: Total Response Time

Condition like: (NodeName = "\NI001" AND RESPTIME) > (RESPTIME + 1 AND NodeName = "\NI002")

Here what I want to do is, if response time difference is more than 1 second then I should get an alert.

Let me know if any clarification is require.

Thanks,

tushR

Re: How to configure a threshold alert on single attribute from different source nodes

Hi tushR,

Thank you for the query.

I assume you have a windows management node to manage the active-active servers. Depending on the setup of the HA and the visibility of the nodes to each other, an analyst could possibly achieve the requirement here, which needs to use variables and do comparison across multiple nodes in the scripts. Threshold cannot do it as its where clause is only  confined to one node or nodegroup and cannot compare data values between nodes.

If you need assistance in building analyst rules please get in touch with account manager to engage our Professional Service team to help.

Thank you.

David
