WBEMTEST error when using WBEMtest to test WMI connectivity

Get "Access is denied" or "RPC server is unavailable" when testing with WBEMtest Tool.

1: Access is denied.

Possible cause: Is username/password incorrect? If the username and password is correct, then try a local account username and password on the Skype monitoring node.

 
 

2. The RPC server is unavailable.

Possible cause's:

Are the service's running?

Is the Enable Remote Management selected (please see Remote Manager screenshot above)?

Is firewall blocking it?

NOTE: There are now 2 services to keep an eye on. Windows Management Instrumentation and Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service.

Some testing has verified that WBEMtest will connect when these services are turned off. For best practice, insure these services are running.
