Upgrade Prognosis Client to V12.1

Hi all,

we installed the new Client Version 12.1 of Prognosis. Before we can upgrade our Server Version we have to make sure that alle the customers have the new Client version. While using the Client with the old Server V11.4 it is crushing after some time. For that there is a patch which fixes these issues. But we're not able to distribute patches to our customers. Is there a complete installation package which includes the current patches?

Thank you.

Re: Upgrade Prognosis Client to V12.1

Hi @Kevin_R,

The Prognosis Windows Client only installation does not have the option to also install patches.

Here are some options to try instead:

  • Try using the 12.2 Prognosis Windows Client.
All the available patches at the time 12.2 is released. The needed fix could be newer 12.2 client.
  • Use a working Windows Client with the patch for all other Windows Client Only instances:
    1. Copy the entire \Prognosis\User Interface directory to a temp location.
    2. Compress the directory to a ZIP file if desired.
    3. Save any custom Documents (Displays, Analysts, Thresholds...) from the \Prognosis\User Interface directory on the target machine to a temp location.
    4. Copy the \Prognosis\User Interface directory to the target machine.
    5. Copy the saved Documents back onto the target machine in the \Prognosis\User Interface directory.
    6. Update any shortcuts on the new machine that may have broken.

Thank you,
Scott Baldwin
