SQL Server Login failed

If you are having issues with connection to the SQL serv and you are seeing simalar messages in the WVLOG.txt from \Prognosis\Server\Configuration. below are steps to resolve. if you continue to have issues after following you can post to this thread or open a support case.

 

 

WVLOG messages;

 

 

2021-01-29 14:26:42   00011023 dbodbcdp 02443 IRDBASE  11.9.0       002120 - ODBC Error 4060 (SQLSTATE 37000)[Microsoft][ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server][SQL Server]Cannot open database "BigDataInsightUCSource" requested by the login. The login failed.

2021-01-29 14:26:42   00011023 dbodbcdp 02443 IRDBASE  11.9.0       002120 - ODBC Error 18456 (SQLSTATE 28000)[Microsoft][ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server][SQL Server]Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM'.

 

 

2021-01-28 10:43:51 F-05722061 prflrdr  00214 IRDTCOL  11.9.0       003904 - Database connection error.  CXpConnection::CXpConnection Establishing connection to database failed with [Microsoft][ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server][SQL Server]Login failed for user 'IR\Admin'.

 

 

2021-01-29 15:00:00   00011023 dbodbcdp 02443 IRDBASE  11.9.0       000088 - ODBC Error 916 (SQLSTATE 08004)[Microsoft][ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server][SQL Server]The server principal "AA-SQL2019\Administrator" is not able to access the database "BigDataInsightUCSource" under the current security context.

For screen shots please download attachement to the right (Add User Mapping to user.docx)--->>>

 

Add User Mapping to user

 

Open SQL Server Management Studio, Expand the Server > Security > Logins > locate User and right click > select Properties.

 

Click on User Mapping > tick the database > then assign the role memberships db_datareader & db_datawriter.

 

If user does not exist

 

Expand the Server > Security > right click on Logins > select New Login…

 

Click on Search > type in name and click Check Names > click OK once name is selected

 

Click on User Mapping > tick the database > then assign the role memberships db_datareader & db_datawriter.
