Re: Rename Prognosis server

Hi @Alain,

The name for the Windows server can be changed with low impact on Prognosis Server.

The most notable impact with Prognosis server will be in the NETWORK configurations if a server's short name or FQDN is used instead of an IP address for the MANAGED-NODE(S) or MONITORING-NODE(S) statements.

A NodeGroup Refresh will be needed on the Managing Node(s) after the name change.
NodeGroup Refresh instructions:

  1. In the Windows Client's Document Navigator (upper left window) open Refresh Nodegroup Configuration on this Managing Node from the Knowledge -> Collaborate  -> Cisco  -> CCM  -> Commands. folder.
  2. Make sure Option "-g" is the value in the text box.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. A text window will open to show the status of the back end processing.
  5. Wait for the Refresh to complete, do not close the text pop-up window until it shows command completed.

Thank you,
Scott Baldwin
