Hi ,
I am monitoring a AIX LPAR and I am trying to understand the CPU utilization. Is there a way to know how many cpu's (core) are been used via prognosis. (I am trying to understnad what is PROC_CON and how the .vCPU%Busy related to it, is it taking the ENT_CAP and VPCU into consideration)
Q1) What is displayed by "PROC_CON" lable (Image - item 1) ?
Q2) The total .vCPU%Busy , is this indicating the total utilization of available vCPU pool ((Image - item 2))?
Hope to hear from you all !

Hello RG_CA_2020,
Question 1 response:
The PROC_CON field (a.k.a. PhysicalProcessorsConsumed, PROCON) is part of the AIXLogicalPartitionStatistics (AIXLPAR) record. The PROCON field description is: "Shows the number of physical processors consumed."
Prognosis record information is available from this Prognosis Online Help link: https://help.prognosis.com/prognosis/118/reference-guide/prognosis-records/prognosis-records-full-li...
The area at the top of this page is used to search the records listing for record or field names.
Question 2 response:
The vCPU%Busy value is using multple fields from the AIXLogicalPartitionStatistics record. The Dashboard appears to be doing calculations using multiple fields to produce the graph in the screen capture.
For additional information about the vCPU%Busy graph, please provide the URL of the Dashboard from the screen capture.
Thank you,
Scott Baldwin
