Prognosis NODEGROUP Configuration

Is there a limit to the number of nodes I can add to a custom Prognosis nodegroup?   I'm monitoring a specific service from an upper level Mgmt Server.  Most of the downstream UC Servers have this service running but not all.

Thank you so much,

Jon

Re: Prognosis NODEGROUP Configuration

Hi Jon,

I do not believe there is a limit that any customer has reached yet. I recommend dynamic nodegroups where possible Jon.

I.e.
PNODES Record and where clause of SYMBPROC = "NETRTR" will show any Prognosis installed node that is visble to the manager node.

Re: Prognosis NODEGROUP Configuration

Hey Adam,

Good afternoon.

I like the idea of using Dynamic Nodegroups instead of Static Nodegroups.  So since I'm looking for servver that have a particukar service running I'm thinking something like this will work as well...

DYNAMICNODES ( "#SNMP Master Agent", HostSoftwareRunningPerformance,
'NAME CONTAINS "snmpdm" ' )

Thank you, sir,

Jon
