Re: Prognosis 11.9 WebUI how I can backup and restore the Navigation Section.

Hello @Alain,

Excellent addition about using pgAdmin4 to manually backup the contents of the Postgres database. Thank you!

The ircfg-<hostname>.xml files in the \Prognosis\WebUI\IIS\Administration\Config directory are supported in the Web Publisher Prognosis Platform up to version 11.9, with the following caveats:

  • The ircfg-<hostname>.xml files are only generated when using the Administration Web UI, and expanding the Plus next to each server in the center navigation panel.
  • Even if devices are added via the Administration Web UI, but the Plus is not expanded, the ircfg-<hostname>.xml files are not created.

If differing behavior is seen, please open a Support Case to troubleshoot the cause.

Thank you,

Re: Prognosis 11.9 WebUI how I can backup and restore the Navigation Section.

Hi Alain,

The webUI navigation section (the middle navigation pane) is configured in the file ircfg-<hostname>.xml located in <\Prognosis>\WebUI\IIS\Administration\Config directory of the web application server (usually the top level management server). The mashup and key display navigation is maintained in the PrognosisConfig.owl file located in <\Prognosis>\WebUI\IIS\Administration directory.  You can make a bakcup of these files just in case you need to restore them.

Hope this helps.

Regards

David

Thanks David for your reply but your not up to date. The ircfg-<hostname>.xml doesn't exsit anymore since version 11.6 where the postgres was introduced. For example for the Security section the irrbs in the postgres can be backup and restore using the pgAdmin4.

Best regards,

Alain
