Multiple "Memory routines error 24 Get OS VM size failed - continuing" messages getting logged to the wvlog on Windows

You may see multiple "Memory routines error 24 Get OS VM size failed - continuing" messages getting logged to the wvlog for various PROGNOSIS processes. This message is an indication that PROGNOSIS is not able to obtain available virtual memory size from the operating system when a process requests memory to run in. This is usually caused by a registry key setting. In order to check this, first open regedit and navigate to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\PerfProc\Performance Under this key there should be a value called 'Disable Performance Counters' If this is set to '1', then the proc performance counters have been disabled. It isn't clear what exactly sets this value, however we have been able to confirm that PROGNOSIS does not modify this registy key. This value needs to be set to '0' to prevent the errors from being logged.
