Are there any concerns with having a monitoring or reporting node in a different windows domain from the management node in a multiple monitoring server environment?
Hi Gill,
For *viewing systems* monitored by that new monitoring node that should be fine and with default SECURITY and NETWORK configurations just adding a MANAGED-NODES statement into NETWORK config should allow the managing node to connect to it and see the systems it is monitoring.
For *adding/editing systems* to monitor on the new monitoring node, you may need to enter in the credentials of the new monitoring node.
HTH
Thanks!
Might also need to consider the different domains if domain accounts used in any of the credentials in the PASSWORDS configuration.
