MIB question vs potential Cisco BUG

Hello all,

I would like to know if Prognosis is polling SNMP MIB ciscoFlashMIB (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.10) for ISR router running IOS 17.x.x

(There is a documented Cisco bug with that MIB on that version :
https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCvz89354

Symptom: A router running IOS-XE 17.x.x may experience a crash due to a CPUHOG hog event when walking ciscoFlashMIB (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.10). Conditions:
• Router is running IOS-XE 17.x.x
• SNMP is polling ciscoFlashMIB (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.10)
• Router is already running code with the fix for CSCvx02009
• Other specific triggers are unknown at this time, as this issue only rarely impacts some routers

Hi @tony2beire,

MIB file ciscoFlashMIB does not show in any of the Prognosis Platform code used to query Cisco devices.

If you find evidence to the contrary, please open a Support Case so the issue can be investigated further.

Thank you,
Scott Baldwin
