KB00003360 - Wvlog error: Process is over restart limit

KB00003360 - Wvlog error: Process is over restart limit

Description: Wvlog indicates that a process is over the restart limit. This can be against a Prognosis process, a threshold/analyst or a database collection process.

Solution: Look at the events in the wvlog.txt file or wvlog record before this event and correct those conditions.

I.e. Memory Limit Exceeded that is followed by this error simply indicates you need to reduce the requests against the collector or increase the default memory limit for this process in the PROGNOSIS Configuration.

If it's a different error, search the Knowledge base for that error and once resolved, start the threshold/ANalyst or the Prognosis process again. To start a Prognosis Collector Process, simply open the PROGNOSIS Configuration and click Start (No changes needed).

What is PSM?

The Prognosis Self-Monitoring solution is a Threshold with supporting displays/dashboards and is designed to help

Re: KB00003360 - Wvlog error: Process is over restart limit

- If you do not see the process in the list you can add it - The memory limit is not what it will run at but just the cap before it fails - Not all processes can exceed 2048 (or whatever it is for 32 bit) o If you try to make a 32bit process 5000 it will fail.
