How to fix corrupt Path Insight registry

Offline license

If you need to reapply your Offline license you should NOT click on "Change/validate License" in the MonitorConfig.exe tool. This will corrupt the license in the registry.

The Configuration Tool is the MonitorConfig.exe found in:

\Program Files (x86)\IR\Path Insight

How to Apply The Path Insight Offline License file

What you will need to do is find the PathInsight.reg file and double click it to restore the registry settings.

If you are having to apply a new license file, here is how to apply it:

1. Unzip the file
2. Save the .reg file anywhere on the Path Insight Server
3. From the console of the Path Insight server , double click on the reg file
4. It will confirm that you want to apply the registry changes, you will confirm.
5. All set, the license will no longer check in!

NOTE: Do not click on the CHANGE/VALIDATE LICENSE in the Configuration Tool. THIS CAN CORRUPT THE OFFLINE LICENSE.

Online License

If the registry is messed up, all you will need to do is click on the "Change/validate License" button.
