When you have built a display and you want to collect the same records and fields into Prognosis database collection, you can utilize the display to start building the database collection document, instead of starting from scratch.
The steps are as below:
1. Launch the Display dosucment in Prognosis Client, it shows the desired data;
2. Click on the database collection icon button in the tool bar (the one with letter C);
3. The New Database Properties window pops up;
4. Give the database collection a name, and description if needed;
5. In next tab, select the server for Nodes to Run On;
6. In the Storage tab, enter the database name, storage location on the server's hard drive, set the database max size and wrap interval;
7. In the Format tab, select Prognosis High Performance Database; if other type of database, enter the specific connection details;
8. In the Configuration tab, the Data View Definitons are already filled up with the same records, fields, Nodes to monittor, where clause and Limits, you only need to adjust the Collection Interval, if it is different from the real-time display refresh interval;
9. You can add or remove records and fields for this database collection document;
10. Save the document then click on Start to start the database collection.
