Disable Monitoring for specific Trunk

Hi Team,

I had a query,

I wanted to know if, can we able to disable monitoring for a specific Trunk, route list, and route group rather than disabling the entire trunk monitoring?

can anyone let me know the process.

I had one more doubt about disabling the monitoring for specific routelist and routegroup.

Is it same as disabling monitoring for specific trunk or is there any other process.

Hi @kashyap,

Yes, the process to ignore Routlists &/or Routegroups would be the same.

The Prognosis Windows Client interface will look the same, but the record and field names are different along with the values to ignore.

for Trunk we use AND DEVNAME <> "[device name of the trunk you don't want to alert on]", is it same for routelist and routegroup as well or the values will change?

If yes, can you provide me with the syntax.

Hi @kashyap,

It appears the included default cmaDeviceAlerts Threshold contains Conditions for RouteGroups and RouteLists:

• This Online Help page shows all the Conditions in the cmaDeviceAlerts Threshold.
• There are 3 RouteGroup Conditions (CmaRouteGroupDegraded, CmaRouteGroupDown and CmaRouteGroupNotDown).
  Each Condition will need to have this added to the end of the current Where Clause for each Group to ignore:
  AND NOT MATCHES GRPNAME "TheFullAndExactNameOfTheGroupToIgnore"
• There are 3 RouteList Conditions (CmaRouteListDegraded, CmaRouteListDown and CmaRouteListNotDown).
  Each Condition will need to have this added to the end of the current Where Clause for each List to ignore:
  AND NOT MATCHES LSTNAME "TheFullAndExactNameOfTheListToIgnore"
