We ran into some disk issues while trying to upgrade from 11.3 to 11.4. The directory that was filling up was Prognosis\Server\Configuration\Messaging\RabbitMQ. I noticed in that directory that there are hundreds of thousands of files called MnesiaCore.rabbit@<servername>. Do these need to be kept for any reason or can they be safely removed without breaking functionality?

RabbitMQ messages are needed only if you are using Skpe for Business in your enviorement. If this is not a core product being used, you can turn off the RabbitMQ services to disable this function. See screenshot below:
The second part of your question in regards to the MnesiaCore files, these are core dump files. If Mnesia malfunctions, system information is dumped to a file named MnesiaCore.Node. These can be deleted out or they can be zipped up and backed up to another location off the drive.
