Alert severity level number mapping

Try to find out the mapping of Prognosis threshold severity and number. There are four level severity: Information, Warning, Error, and Critical. There is a number internally mapping to them, like 1, 4, 9, etc. Does anybody know the exact mapping?

Information = ?

Warning = ?,

Error = ?,

Critical = ?

Thanks.

Re: Alert severity level number mapping

Hello MichaelXie,

The Prognosis MIB for SNMP traps sent by Prognosis can be found in the following directory: \Prognosis\Server\Configuration\ptrapmib

The SNMP trap severity is embedded in the text of the trap: irCriticalTrap, irErrorTrap, irWarningTrap, irInformationTrap, or irOffTrap.

The irOffTrap is sent when the "Off Event" is triggered (and enabled in the Threshold/Analyst) by the condition no longer being true.

In SNMP trap receivers, I've seen the raw data severities mapped to integers as follows:

irCriticalTrap=1
irErrorTrap=2
irWarningTrap=3

irInformationTrap=4
irOffTrap=9

Thank you,

Scott Baldwin
