simple ping/icmp monitoring possible ?

Hi all

We have several servers which we want to monitor with a simple ping/icmp monitoring.

Is this possible with Prognosis ? 

I think about a "Availability" configuration but I don't know exact how to do it.

Can someone from the community help me out ?

Hi Steffen,

Yes Availability monitoring would be the function to use to monitor the server status.  An example of it is as below:

In this case, we monitor LOCAL_SERVER (127.0.0.1) at the ping interval of 30 seconds, this is configured in the Availability configuration one line per each monitored server.

TCPIP HOST (LOCAL_SERVER, 127.0.0.1, 30, seconds)

After click on Start button, in Availability Central display, we will see the server status updated each interval.
