how to add OWA servers

Hi,

I would like to monitor our OWA servers, how can I add them to the view?

HI Rune,

thanks for your post. The OWA role is not a role we have per default available to choose from which does only mean that we do not look for OWA specific performance counters. Suggest a couple of things:

- you can simply integrate these servers as another Skype role (Director). Not nice bute easy and you have full hardware/OS monitoring. You may want to check for specific services and change alerts (e.g. monitoring the OWA web service).
- historically there is always the option to install a Prognosis agent on any 3rd Party Windows/Linux/Unix
- ask your account team to extend Prognosis and integrate OWA as a new role
- create an RFE for our Product team to include that in later versions by default

Hi Stefan.

thanks for your reply. We did integrate the OWA pool as a Skype role (Director), and added monitoring for the nost important service (Office Web Apps). It would have been nicer to add OWA as a new role but for now this is working just fine! We will run it like this for a while, and maybe we ask for it to be included in later versions.
