Re: Which record to use for ALL devices being monitored

If all of your devices are Prognosis nodes / servers and not external devices then you can use the out of box screen "Welcome to PROGNOSIS Cross Platform Systems Management" at the bottom of the Knowledge directory or Knowledge->Common->Prognosis->Prognosis Status - All Nodes. It uses PrognosisNodes record but PrognosisViewUsage is a more granular one for what each node is doing from a Prognosis perspective only.

Though if it a remote endpoint then the answer will vary greatly by solution as it may be in one or more additional records for each solution depending on the device type.. usually these records are called something like the <Product> in the first 2-4 characters of the short name and then 4 characters for the record of the short name.

For example: B24ATM = Base24 ATMs though it actually contains information on ATMs for all platforms... but things like Nice and UCCE both also have records called something like "NiceDevice" and "UCCEDevice".

So I would suggest checking which records are available to you under "ALL" and see if one of those fit the bill for you.. otherwise please share which specific solution you have and we can alaborate further.

Re: Which record to use for ALL devices being monitored

Generally it can depend on the type of devices monitored but I would begin with "IPTGEN" (IPTelephonyGeneric). It is the record that populates the UC Welcome screen.

Hope this helps!

Randy
