Unexpected Disconnect from mail server

Hi All,

I have been fighting with an issue for a couple of weeks now and I am hoping someone has some experience with this issue. I have set up email notifications and they queue up correctly but they all eventually time out and display an error that says “Unexpected Disconnect from Main Server". I have seen recommendations on other threads and checked all settings. I have engaged our email group and so far, I have found no issues. Every Email notification in Dispatch Manager shows a status of “aborted”.

I am Running Release 11.3 on the latest patch running on Windows Server 2012. All Services are up and running and I can’t find a log file with any useful information.

Thanks in advance

Re: Unexpected Disconnect from mail server

Update. I edited the ALERTS configuration and made the following change

From: RICH-ALERTS DISPATCH-MANAGER-FORMAT( HTML, Y )

To: RICH-ALERTS DISPATCH-MANAGER-FORMAT( HTML, N )

This sends the email out in plain text. As soon as I made this change and restarted Prognosis the emails started working.

Hi Mark.  Any success?  I'm experiencing the same issue from our new HP NonStops.  Have installed 11.5.  Works fine on our old HP NonStops running 9.1.  Thanks.  Anna

Re: Unexpected Disconnect from mail server

Nice!  Unfortunately this didn't work for me.  Support suggested I prefix the IP address of my mail server with $ZTC0:, but that didn't solve the issue either.  Still working on it...
