Description: 

• Severe Error: Error: Failed updating C:\Prognosis\WebUI\IIS\Dashboards\prompt.xml, could not set file info
• Couldn't rename C:\Prognosis\WebUI\IIS\Dashboards\prompt.xml.tmp.002 back to C:\Prognosis\WebUI\IIS\Dashboards\prompt.xml, File exists
• Error: Failed updating C:\Prognosis\WebUI\IIS\Dashboards\query.xml, could not set file info Severe Error: Couldn't rename C:\Prognosis\WebUI\IIS\Dashboards\query.xml.tmp.001 back to C:\Prognosis\WebUI\IIS\Dashboards\query.xml, File exists

Analysis:

• Customer kept getting the errors above whenever running the 11.9 Patch 8.  
• I've seen this with any version any patch so not patch specific

• 

• It can happen if running the win.exe or the win.gz from file Online Help download page

Resolution:

• Stop World Wide Publishing Service in Services tab and then run the upgrade

• Then run the upgrade and it will upgrade successfully

Follow those steps to resolve upgrade issues
