This script is designed to automatically detect the 10 biggest Fact tables and estimate the compression savings on those tables.
One caveat: this takes a reasonable amount of time to run on a small implementation, so it may take some time. If the script takes too long, it may delay or slow down the ETL but should not cause serious problems.
It is best if it could be run while the ETL is not running.
