Prognosis does support Filegroup Partitioning as it is a part of SQL Server Enterprise Edition. SQL Server Standard Edition does not purge large volumes of data efficiently. Still to get around this problem, there is a fix available to purge large volumes of data if the customer does have SQL Server Standard Edition.
