Quick Question - validating SNMP status for alerts

Hi,

Pretty sure i have seen this before but can't find it currently
Is there a way to view the status of alerts and whether the corresonding trap notification has been sent to our NMS? we have an issue at the moment where Prognosis isns't sending the traps to our NMS when a threshold condition is met(it used to work).

Also, is there a quick way to generate a trap to test?

Does the SNMP trap process need to be running on prognsis itself?

The IRSNMPTR only needs to be running if it is being used as a trap reciever. If you are only sending traps out to another destination the SNMP traps process does not need to run.
