Hi Tonia,

You would install this on your upper most top level managing node (The node that has visibility into all Prognosis servers).
There is no need to do multiple installs.

As their Managed Service Provider, you should be the one to review this and not your end user's.
- If you did have the need to install else-where, it can be done.

Does this solution go on my end on my monitoring node that I watch all our clients on? or does it go on the Client end?

Can self monitoring and UC Reporter both be added to the same customer?

Hi Tonia,

As Adam mentioned above the Prognosis Self Monitoring solution would be able to be install both at your top level view and at the lower level customer's view as well.

Prognosis Self Monitoring and the UC Reporter Surveillance solutions may be installed on the same node. I don't know that the UC Reporter Surveillance would make sense to be installed anywhere but the Prognosis Reporting node though.

Hi Tonia,

Because the UC Reporter Surveillance solution polls the sql db directly, it can also be installed on any node. Most people install it on the webui manager node.

If you have multiple reporters installed, let me know and we'll review the architecture and let you know which setup is best.

We need to schedule this at the earliest then since the server is in my control. Is the install service impacting? probably just a restart of Prognosis or do we have to restart the server itself? We are ready..

Hi Saji,

Prognosis Self Monitoring is installed by a support staff member. I will have one of my team reach out to you and Tonia and arrange a 1 hour session to assist you with the install. This 1 hour engagement is free of charge and part of our proactive support initiative.

The install only takes 5-10 minutes. The rest of the hour is training you on it's optimal use and addressing any critical problems it initially detects.
- It does come with both install directions and usage docs but we feel the best advantage is running through them with you.

You should receive an email today suggesting some times for the session.
