MOS Average

Hi,

Can someone confirm how the MOS average is calculated? Is it for the total length of the call or across a shorter interval?

Hi Jonathan,

It may be different for different records. Some components provide Average MOS as a separate metrics to Minimum MOS after call ends, whereas, for live calls where MOS score may wary during the call, average is calculated based on all scores. If you have a specif field in a specific record that you wanted to check, let me know the long name of the record and I can find out further.

Record according to when i hover mouse over the MIN MOS field is AvayaCallLegFinishedInformation.

Record we are looking at is in Avaya Finished Voice Streams

Hey Jonathan, in the AvayaCallLegFinishedInformation record we track both the Min MOS score aswell as Average MOS score. The endpoints report the MOS score live to us every 5 seconds - the Min & Average is calculated from this value over the duration of the call.
