Hello Team,
how can we create a new user and assign a password and grant him privileges to the prognosis server?
Thanks,
Kashyap.

Hi @kashyap,
The first step is create a user local to the Windows machine. This page provides detailed steps for Windows Server 2019. The password creation is part of the steps.
The first screen capture from the last post is from the Prognosis Web UI, Role Based Security (RBS). RBS should be done after the creation of the local Windows account.
Thank you,
Scott Baldwin
one small help, can you provide me the page link for password creation.
I tried searching for it in the prognosis online help but I couldn't find it.
Thanks,
Kashyap.
Hi @kashyap,
My apologies, it looks like the link was removed from the last post. Here is the link for Windows local account creation:

• Step 3 shows how to create the password during account creation.
• I would recommend using the check box "Password never expires" for service accounts.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
Thank you,
Scott Baldwin
Hi @kashyap,
Prognosis Platform uses Active Directory (AD), LDAP or local account on the server to authenticate a user.
Typically, a user will login with their AD credentials. If the user can authenticate with AD, then they should be able to login to Prognosis.
There are some AD settings that can prevent access, but Support would need to troubleshoot the issue in the environment to isolate the specific login failure.
Thank you,
Scott Baldwin
Hi Scott,
Thanks for the answer, but what I want to know is can we create different local user accounts to use on the prognosis server?
Thanks,
Kashyap.
Hi @kashyap,
Prognosis on Windows depends on Windows style authentication.
If you are not able to add a user to AD:

Hello @SCOTT_BALDWIN ,
I am able to create a new user called test1 under Admin>security>add user.
can you tell me how to access the user account? can we access it by using the same server credentials or do we need to create one?
I tried using the default credentials it was throwing an error,
Thanks,
Kashyap.
