Is there any vendor documenation available as to what metrics (and corresponding Prognosis record) that Prognosis is able to collect via AXL queries for Cisco Call Manager as opposed to SNMP object poll? Currently working to document internally what is available out of Prognosis for monitoring, reporting and faulting on Cisco Call Manager and there's no easy way to identify this in the online documentation. Sometimes the record definition references the corresponding MIB/object or if it is from a performance counter, but often that information is available.

No record by record available currently. There are more general advisories. Such as this one:

Thanks Gerald. The "Record Guides" that IR has made available to download or view via the online documentation have some great information in regards to defining the information available within each record. However, sure would be nice if they would take it one step forward and document the record source (SNMP OID, AXL Query, CLI show command, etc.). Several of our other monitoring tools make that source information easily accessible within their documentation and/or application itself for each available metric. This can be extremely useful under various scenarios when working with the tool. Just a suggestion to pass along.
Thanks for the clarification Timon. That is a good suggestion. I will pass it on to our product team. Indeed, the Records Guide is a good reference. But as you have found, it does not always provide the data source for each record.
Another thing, just in case you are not able to access that link in the previous post, here is the content (yes it is still only an overview)
HTTPS / SOAP AXL Prognosis sends SOAP AXL requests to the CUCM publisher to discover the components set up within the Communications Manager. This includes servers that forms the clusters, phones, gateways, trunks, route patterns, route lists, etc. This configuration information is gathered at start up and then updated once a day.
HTTPS / SOAP Perfmon Prognosis sends variuos HTTP and SOAP perfmon requests to all the servers within the CUCM cluster in order to gather performance statistics. This covers things like CPU, memory, disk partition, alerts, call activities and services status etc on each of the servers. It also include statistics for MGCP gateways. Prognosis also retrieves QOS and device information directly from IP phones and TelePresence Endpoints via HTTP/HTTPs as well.
SNMP Prognosis sends SNMP requests to all the servers within the CUCM cluster to gather registration status information of phones, VG and MGCP gateways. It is also the main sources for up-to-date IP addresses of various devices. Once the IP addresses are known, then further SNMP requests will be sent to TelePresence Endpoints, VG and H323 gateways for more status and call activities information.
CDRs/CMRs Call Details Records and Call Management Records (Sometimes called Call Details Diagnostic Records) are pushed to Prognosis by the CUCM servers via the Billing Server Application Server interface via SFTP at the end of each calls. This source provdes voice quality and call success/failure status for each call.
The information is collated, recorded and displayed in a unified view to
