What can we get from Prognosis for managing announcemnet use? is there anything out of the box or is it an extended solution?

Hello Johnathan,

Prognosis gathers announcement information including usage data. Below is a list of Prognosis records with announcement data:

• AvayaVoiceAnnouncementSummary (AVVOANSM): list of all integrated and non-integrated voice announcements and a summary of their usage.
  • This is likely the most useful record.
• AvayaIntegratedAnnouncements (AVINTANN): list of all announcements configured for an integrated announcement circuit pack.
• AvayaVoiceAnnouncement (AVVOANN): list of all integrated and non-integrated voice announcements.
• AvayaIntegratedAnnouncementBoards (AVINTBRD): list of all administered integrated announcement circuit packs.
• AvayaMediaServer (AVMEDSV): includes a the number of announcements and their storage location.

Unfortunately, the announcement records are not used in any Prognosis Displays/Dashboards. A Display will need to be created to view the data.

Are these commands enabled out of the box or do we need to do anything for Prognsis to start gathering the relevant detal via SAT polling?

Hello Johnathan,

Gathering of Avaya Communication Manager announcement data is part of a standard Prognosis UC License, and the irAVAYA_PBX.ini file will need to contain AdvancedReporting=true in the [SAT] section.
