Hi,
We will be onboarding some Avaya CMs into Prognosis for the first time. I am familiar with how Prognosis handles the retention of our CDR for Cisco CMs and the ability to extend the default 2 day retention via the storage settings in the calls database collection for each cluster.
Is Avaya CDR handled in a similar fashion within Prognosis whereas it is written to a single database collection for each CM? If so, what is the default retention and can it be extended similar to that of the Cisco CM database collections? ...obviously keeping in mind storage limitations.
Thanks!

Scott,
Thanks for the info on how Prognosis stores Avaya CDR and voice quality data. I was able to locate the database collections you referenced to view their default wrap settings for future planning when we begin onboarding Avaya CMs for monitoring
Tim
Hi @Timon_Dennis,
All monitored Avaya Communication Manager servers store their CDRs in the same Prognosis Server Monitoring Node Database Collection. The Database Collection storing all the Avaya CM CDRs is named AV-CDRs. Each Monitoring Node will have its own AV-CDRs Database Collection.
Unlike Cisco, Avaya CM CDRs and Voice Quality data are created separately and stored in Prognosis separately. The Voice Quality data is sent in RTCP packets from Avaya endpoints to the Monitoring Node.
The Voice Quality data is stored in these Database Collections: AV-Voice Streams Historical and AV-Voice Streams Replay.
Each of the Database Collections can be updated to retain more data for a longer time the same as with other Prognosis Server Database Collections.
Thank you,
Scott Baldwin
