Alert for license expiry

Hey all,
can anyone tell me if there is a way to be alerted via email if the licenses in Prognosis are expired, especially the Path Insight license?

Hi Uwe,

we can alert for Prognosis but Path Insight doesn't have the capability yet. Maybe we can use Prognosis Core itself to help reading out this information. I'll get in contact with you on that.

For the Prognosis license, there are 3 things I would like to bring to your attention:

1. Prognosis license alerts hit the wvlog.txt and this si also available in the WVLOG record

2. The Prognosis Self Monitoring solution does alert on these
That is a free solution from support and available here: https://online.prognosis.com/forum/us-ask-the-experts/prognosis-self-monitoring

3. If you do not want the whole solution above, I could send you a copy of the alert from the solution so you can use the license portions of it (Just delete all non-wvlog alerts from this threshold.

I really think it sounds like you could benefit from the whole solution and with it being a free solution that Support will install and train you on, there is only benefit to be gained. Please do check out that other topic.

I have been looking into this as well (path insight license) for a customer and have not been able work out a trigger based on how PI licensing is handled. I've reached out to the PI team internally and will update you and this forum once I get more details.

If there isn't an existing record to trigger off, please do remember we can create an extractor to pull in certain data from txt and log files.
- That is where I imagine this one going.
