In today’s episode of IR’s Troubleshooting Masterclass, UC Solutions Engineer Kerry Gregg will walk you through how to monitor and support remote users registered back to an Avaya Communications Manager using the brand new Avaya Remote Worker display.
Note: These Displays were created with Prognosis 11.7 and you need 11.7 to use them. A Prognosis 11.4 version should be available soon and anyone running 11.4 and up will be able to deploy this. If you have not already installed this display, please use the instructions pasted below. You can download the display using this link.
Please note that the solutions shown in this video may require customization in order to run in your current Prognosis environment. If you have specific customization requests, please contact us!

To Deploy this solution into your Prognosis, first download the Avaya Remote Worker.DPY file here
Note: In order to use this display, you must have Network regions assigned to your remote workers. Prognosis uses this information to determine if the device is remote or local. If you do not use Network Regions or if the remote users do not have specific network regions assigned, you will need to work with an IR resource to customize a different way to identify the remote users.
What was it about this display you created that requires 11.7? Why would it not natively work in 11.6
Thanks,
Hi Adam, it is more tied to the actual .dpy file we uploaded. The .dpy file are by default not backward compatible only forward compatible. Let me work with the team to get a 11.6 version loaded on here as well.
Thanks!
Hi Adam,
The 11.6 version of this display is located here
Let me know know if you run into any issues.
Hi Prognosisteam,
we are still running on Prognosis Release 11.5. Patchlevel 8. Are we able to use the 11.6 version of the Remote Worker Display?
@HolgerMoldenh , Here is a 11.4 version. Will work with 11.5 and above as well.
@PrognosisGuy: Thank you very much for providing the display for our release.
Unfortunately, in our system the remote worker phones are not in a separate network region, but have their own network areas within several network regions. We could adjust this in the long term, which would also improve the configuration of the phones.
To use the report quickly, the WhereClause would have to be adapted with the network region and the assigned IP address ranges as an AND operation.
A small note: We only have SIP phones. Is the report usable for these phones?
Hi @HolgerMoldenh , Yes you will have to use IP address ranges in the where clause instead. As long as you have 46xx setting configured with RTCP destination, you should be good to go for VQ for SIP Phones.
